DR. ZACHKEWICH
Dr. Zachkewich is a l995 Magna Cum Laude (high honours) graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic – West in San Jose, California. He was awarded the Salutatorian Medallion for academic excellence as well as the Clinical Excellence Award for outstanding work as an intern. Dr. Zachkewich worked with professional athletes in a sports’ clinic following his graduation and later as a Resident Doctor at the Palmer West College Clinic. There he oversaw patient – intern interactions and was responsible for the Clinic’s X-ray Department.
In l996 Dr. Zachkewich returned to his family home in Northern Alberta to pursue a private chiropractic practice in Lac La Biche, Alberta. Dr. Zachkewich has sat on various community councils including a position on the Community Health Council for the Regional Health Authority in 1997-1998. Also, he was the founding Presidents of both the Lac La Biche Rotary Club in 2004 and the Lac La Biche Flying Club in 2009.
He has also taught a course for the Paramedic Program at Portage College and enjoys giving health talks to various groups.
He is a staff member at the W. J. Cadzow Health Centre; it is here that his X-rays are performed.
Dr. Zachkewich prides himself in bringing cutting edge technology and procedures into his clinic. He is excited about the low level laser therapy and radial shockwave technologies that are now available. Lakeland Chiropractic, located in the Vitality Centre blends traditional chiropractic techniques with new cutting edge approaches. The people of Northeastern Alberta no longer have to travel to urban centres for leading edge care.
DR. SHULKO
Dr. Shulko graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2004 and has enjoyed every minute of practice since. He is educated in a wide variety of techniques and enjoys practicing family Chiropractic. In addition to his Chiropractic education, Dr. Shulko is trained in Neuro-Anatomical Acupuncture, Classical Acupuncture and German Auricular Acupuncture. He is certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada and authorized by the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors to perform needle acupuncture. He also has an extensive background in athletics and the treatment of sports injuries. Dr. Shulko has traveled with numerous sports teams and he has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of competitive, high-level athletes.
Dr. Shulko is dedicated to helping his patients achieve optimal overall health through Chiropractic care and a healthy lifestyle. He is very excited to be practicing here and to have the opportunity to be helping the people of Lac La Biche and the surrounding areas. Dr. Shulko is very pleased to be raising his family in our great community where he himself grew up.
DR. FYITH
Dr. Noah Fyith was born and raised in Lac La Biche and is excited to give back to the community. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University before graduating with honours from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Fyith is passionate about delivering evidence-based, individualized care to help patients feel better, move better, and return to their daily activities. He provides hands-on care, instrument-assisted techniques, and additional therapies such as laser and shockwave therapy.
He also has a strong interest in soft tissue therapies, including Active Release Technique (ART), RockTape, and expanding his knowledge of other chiropractic techniques in the near future.
In his free time, Dr. Fyith enjoys golfing, spending time at the lake, and being with friends and family.
